Alicia Kort is a writer, editor, and strategist based in Brooklyn. She is currently the temporary senior commerce editor and a fashion and luxury writer for Hearst.

She graduated from the University of Missouri with a degree in magazine editing. She's been published in ELLE, Esquire, Byrdie, ELLE Decor, Polyester Zine, Wrong House, Time Out New York, Town & Country, Apartment Therapy, The Kitchn, StyleCaster, Electric Literature, Newsweek, Interview, Paste, and Brooklyn magazine.

She also was the copy and newsletter manager and NYC Book Club lead for Our Third Place, a women’s media networking organization.

Outside of media, she was the associate nonfiction editor for Carve for two years and served as a short story fiction judge for NYC Midnights.
